Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)

Instructions

  3. Mix until all ingredients are fully incorporated and a dough forms.
  4. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Flatten each ball gently with a fork, creating a crisscross pattern.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cookies are golden around the edges.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra richness, try adding a pinch of cinnamon or dipping half of each cookie in melted chocolate once cooled.
