Heart-Shaped Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until creamy.
  4. Add vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Roll dough into small balls and shape each into a heart using your hands or a heart-shaped mold.
  8. Place hearts on prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
  10. Remove from oven and cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes
