Homemade Ginger-Spiced Apple Holiday Bake

A warm and comforting ginger-spiced apple holiday bake that combines tender apples with aromatic spices, perfect for festive gatherings or cozy autumn evenings.

Ingredients

  • 4 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, lemon juice, brown sugar, ground ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Toss to coat evenly.
  3. Transfer the apple mixture into the prepared baking dish. Drizzle melted butter and maple syrup over the top.
  4. Sprinkle chopped nuts evenly if using.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes or until apples are tender and the top is lightly golden.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For an extra indulgent treat, serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
