  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, sauté onions in a little butter until translucent. Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted. Remove from heat.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, half-and-half, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  4. Spread cooked bacon, spinach, and onions evenly over the pie crust.
  5. Sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese over the bacon and vegetables.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the fillings in the crust.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35–40 minutes or until the quiche is set and the top is lightly golden.
  8. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For an extra festive touch, garnish with fresh herbs like chives or parsley before serving. This quiche pairs beautifully with a light mixed green salad.
