Chicken Alfredo Gnocchi

A creamy and comforting Chicken Alfredo Gnocchi dish featuring tender gnocchi and succulent chicken in a rich Alfredo sauce, perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb potato gnocchi
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the gnocchi according to package instructions until they float to the surface. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken slices with salt and pepper, then cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and nutmeg (if using). Continue to cook until sauce thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked chicken and gnocchi back into the skillet. Toss gently to coat everything evenly with the Alfredo sauce. Heat through for 2 minutes.
  7. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra flavor boost, sprinkle some crushed red pepper flakes or add sautéed mushrooms to the sauce before combining the chicken and gnocchi.
