Chicken Alfredo Garlic Bread Bowls

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 4 small round bread loaves (sourdough or Italian)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off each bread loaf and hollow out the insides, leaving about a 1-inch thick shell.
  3. Mix melted butter with minced garlic and brush the inside and cut edges of each bread bowl.
  4. Place bread bowls and tops on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until golden and slightly crispy.
  5. In a bowl, combine shredded chicken with Alfredo sauce, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Fill each warm bread bowl with the chicken Alfredo mixture.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the filling.
  8. Bake filled bread bowls for an additional 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the Alfredo sauce or serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
