Spicy and cheesy, these Cheddar Jalapeño Burgers deliver a flavorful kick with melted cheddar and fresh jalapeños, perfect for a hearty and satisfying meal.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1-2 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves (optional)
  • Tomato slices (optional)
  • Mayonnaise or preferred condiment (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, cheddar cheese, chopped jalapeños, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to combine.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form each into a patty.
  4. Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  5. Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or skillet if desired.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun, then adding lettuce, tomato, and condiments if using.
  7. Serve immediately while hot.
