Ingredients

Scale
  • pounds ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked egg noodles
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sliced mushrooms; sauté until soft, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until well combined.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked egg noodles, the beef mixture, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Mix gently to combine.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving. This dish pairs well with a side of steamed green beans or a crisp garden salad.
